No... they look at the specific pitchers numbers as well as the batters up for the opposing team. Our win % for that inning probably starts at 95% if it was the bottom of the lineup, instead of Pujols, Holliday and possibly Berkman.
Hell, more power to him and his agent for getting that in there... as this is the EXACT situation they foresaw happening. Wandy could have always not signed an extension and taken his chances in free agency earlier on... but I guess he kinda liked Houston and didn't mind staying here. And, if the team wanted to trade him, he wants to ensure compensation for that... and he's probably gonna get it.
Based on BR's SRS (run diff and SOS), the Cards are the best in the division. I had the Reds and Brewers battling it out but the Reds are slipping hard. Thought their pitching would be better than this. I think most people thought that. Losing Berkman for a long time would obviously be a big blow to STL. Let's see how Jackson bolsters their rotation to go with Carpenter regaining form and Garcia. I think the division is totally up for grabs between STL, MIL and CIN. I still see PIT fading hard and CIN going on a run.
I should correct that... "will be" totally up for grabs if CIN makes the run that I expect them to make.
Altuve's diving stop/throw to 1st made MLB Network's top 2 plays of the night. Derek Lowe's behind the back stab was 1st.
