stobbart, Have you been watching the whole game? Did you see those strikes Moehler threw early that didn't get called, including the one right before the Holliday HR?
I have been watching on and off the whole game but wasn't paying that much attention early. I'm in a poker tournament at the same time lol. Was it bad?
One of the calls was outrageous but it didn't cost us. The one before the Holliday HR was a little bit more acceptable but also bad in my book. I understand that ball took a bad bounce but I see better shortstops adjusting to those kinds of balls all the time. I saw Asdrubal Cabrera react to a much tougher ball a couple of days ago. Miggy works his butt off but he's getting too old to play short. He doesn't have the body type to play that position into his old age.
It looks like they called it an error. Miggy now has 17 errors, 23 GIDPs and only 15 BBs. To walk less than you commit errors and hit into DPs is horrendous for an everday player, even a SS.
Can Coste throw? Don't think I've seen him attempt to throw out a baserunner yet. Can't really complain, we gave up on the catcher position for this season really, we have a part time standin there
3 quality starts. 1 win. Brian "Slump Buster" Moehler delivered the goods last night. Moehler is looking to do what Hampton and Ortiz did not, i.e. making the case for a roster spot next year.
