Wandy was stellar and Bourn continues to play great baseball.

    Looking for positives.

It would be nice to see Pence finish the season on a high note.

If you take out wandy's 3 worst starts, he has a 1.7 era. Wandy has been great this year.

Astros serve up another embarrassment offensively.

At least save those for when our pitcher gets rocked. Not when our pitching is stellar.

Of course, the pitcher that the Cards threw out there tonight has been stellar this season also.

There are lots of teams that have had a hard time scoring runs against him.

We should have bunted over Bourn in the first inning when he hit a leadoff double.

A corollary to what you said, Hunter Pence should not be batting 2nd in the lineup.

    Yay, more first inning runs...

    for the other team.

Roy did make Pujols look silly though.

Yeah, Roy did a nice job of making Pujols look foolish. Not so much the rest of the inning.

28 pitches for Piniero. If he pitches a shutout, his ERA may dip below 3.00, giving the Cardinals top 3 starters all ERAs in the 2.XXs.

Roy showing frustration with Tejada and Mastui.

That'll wipe that ugly azz smile off Pujols' face.

    Some Tejada numbers:

    Walks: 15
    Errors: 16
    GIDPs: 23

    That's pretty ridiculous.

Based on his reaction and JD's commentary, they were out of position. It seemed like Oswalt expected one of them to be up the middle.

Roy O is 9 wins away from being the winningest Astros pitcher ever.

Even when things aren't going well, he still seems fearless. That's one of my favorite things about him.

Coste has a pretty awkward hitting approach. He leans forward and toward the pitcher heavily while the pitcher is winding up.

Lance Berkman has passed Hunter Pence's batting average. Amazing considering Berkman was hitting .230 at the end of May, and Pence was batting .341.
