Pence has been "slumping" for nearly 3 months. He had a decent April and a fantastic May, but it has been downhill since.
Better. Wandy has for whatever reason owned Pujols so far in his career. Man, Zobrist is such a versatile hitter this season, the Rays can effectively use him in all different spots in their lineup. I think I've seen him hit everywhere from 1 through 5.
Oh my goodness. At the very least, I'm hoping the Astros pull something out of their rear ends in this series. First 2 matchups seem even, but I hope Moehler at least keeps this team close in the final game...
Wow, Lidge just blew his 9th save and took the loss. He's got about a 7.5 ERA and a WHIP approaching 2.00. Phillis fans are going ballistic. How quickly they forget his magical season. Meanwhile, a heck of a pitching duel in STL. Both Wandy and Wainwright were awesome.
Lidge really just can't stay healthy either mentally or physically. It's not about the Pujols bomb... the guy just can't do it period.
Roy and Wandy could be an elite 1-2 next season. Who will be our 3-5? And who will be at SS, 3B and C?
A combo of Moehler, some retread and Norris. Norris could end up working out. He has had a rough couple of outings though. SS Miggy or Manzella 3B Boon/Blum/Keppinger or Miggy C They will rush Castro to the bigs.
