Fair enough, I'm not completely averse to things like that, just thought you were a little harsh with your comments tonwards me when you agree.

I caught it on the TV here in good ol' England lol, I think tomorrow will be a fascinating final day, you into cricket at all?

Wait, so you aren't even watching the Stros game? Or do you have MLB.TV?

I am into cricket... but obviously not at the level of somebody who actually lives in cricket-land.

Yep... exemplifying why most closers are overrated.

JD just mentioned it... he said Valverde looked like he was struggling to find a consistent release point. He has some awkward looking mechanics, particularly his right arm and release point.

I do indeed have mlb.tv, just waiting for Valverde to get this final out and then I'm off out.

Fair enough, cricket is a game for the truly patient and intellectual sports fan imo, a giant among sports.

Yep. Still rather have a K guy over a control guy as a closer... but you can see why control guys are desireable and have success as well (like Ryan Franklin and Kevin Gregg).

Any sport that takes a break for lunch and tea is not really a sport... :D

    Oh yea, baby!

Is that the first time we ever handed Wainwright a loss?

Also, the Astros won this game because we hadn't gotten to page 13 of the thread yet.

I didn't want to jeopardize anything by posting before the 27th out, but that Bud Norris pitched one hell of a first start.

Nice to end a long road trip with a win. Gives a nice end to a overall disastrous 7 games. 2-5 feels so much better than 1-6.

Nice stat line. I'm excited about Bud.

Wish he started Ortiz's last game.....I guess the one plus is Ortiz is now gone.

Wow...really? Out of the games invented in the UK, I would hang my proverbial hat on golf if I were you.
