You mean the younger Oswalt who's actually a year older?

Decent start out of the bullpen for Cassel.

We should give these last 2 innings to Villareal considering we've already lost. No point in taxing our proper pitchers

F'n Wandy...Now our hope to win the series is up to O...In years past, I'd say no problem, but now...Let's hope he gets a hell of a lot of run support...

Don't know who this guy pitching for us pretending to be Roy Oswalt is but he just walked 2 guys on 8 pitches.

    Quick 2nd for Roy.

Who thinks he will give up another earned run in this game?

    I say he doesn't.

I hope you're right. There's been a few times this year he's had a few bad innings to start then got into a groove.

Geez....wasn't this Cardinal's rotation supposed to be as weak, if not, weaker than ours? And yet here we are...a combined one run in 14 innings.

Their pitching coach Dave Duncan has the reputation as being something of a wizard, but sometimes that is overrated. See: Mazzone, Leo.

**** off poo holes. I'm sick of seeing this guy hit homer after homer against us. He has 13 this year and I think FIVE of them are against us.

it's just so simple...if the astros wanted, it is in their control for pujols to never get another single hit off of them, much less a hr, for the rest of his entire career.

what would you rather have: the unknown of what possibly the best hitter to ever play the game may do to you, or accepting having his slow ass on 1st 4 times/game?

the problem is, in this cookie cutter league, it's too unconventional and outside-the-box of a strategy for any closed-minded manager to consider.

Well if we had done that, this could be a 1-0 game in our favour, although considering Pujols only went to 1st in the 1st inning and then the 2 walks it could still be 2-1 but Pujols hit seemed to unsettle Roy a little, leading to the 8 straight balls. If you int. walk Pujols, I think Roy dismisses the next man and he's pitching a shutout right now.

I can't understand not pinch hitting for Oswalt there. Erstad?

i agree, the bullpen is in good shape right now, you need the runs, you would think cecil would have pinch hit for roy in the top of the 7th inning.

It's even harder to believe considering we were facing the bottom of the Cardinals order.

We only had 7 outs left at the time of that decision.
