Well, that's the way to dampen my spirits after a nice come from behind rally. Andy cannot afford to miss a start.
Ugh. I looked it up, and the left elbow flexor muscle is the exact muscle Pettitte tore in 2004 that forced him to miss the rest of the season (and hurt him for much of last season).
Now a bloop single from one of the worst players in all of baseball to tie the game. I guess that's payback for the Raul Chavez game-tying bloop back in Game 4 a couple years ago.
Why does Garner insist on using Borkowski? He has given up atleast 1 run like in his last 9 out of 10 outings (exaggerating but you guys get the point)
Actually if Lane had played to his capabilities he would aprox. = Wilson. And Lane wasn't even the reason Wilson was let go...if it had to be attributed to any player it'd be Luke Scott. Would you rather have Scott or Preston? Player hits a home run against his former team to give his team the lead; yes it sucks, pretty ironic...but the Cardinals can keep him if they want; he was by and large a bust for the Astros, it was obvious they weren't gonna pick up his options and they couldn't even work a trade out so they had to just release him. I think that kind of says it all right there. I liked the guy, but he's wasn't the answer.
I wonder why Garner opted not to stick with Sampson...or bring in Hirsch. Unless Hirsch is scheduled to start in a few days. It's a tough situation to have to go to the middle relievers so early in the game anyways. Just be glad it's only 4-3.
