Unbelievable ... turn on the game and see that Taylor is going to pitch! Andy and Roger better get back real fast and we better get real lucky and win some games that we probably shouldn't while they are gone or this season is gone

I just think they wanted to push back Pettite to lineup Pettite, Oswalt and Clemens in a row. Man facing Carpenter is tough, we'll have to hope Taylor has his shutout stuff and hope we can manufacture a run or 2. What a huge week for the Astros, season is on the line.

Great catch by Luke Scott!!! Saves at least 2 runs.

Cardinals announcers were giddy that we just walked a hitter who is worse than Adam Everett.

WOW... Scott with a game-saving catch. If that goes past him, all 3 runs scored, and that's plenty for Carpenter.

How can you possibly walk anybody in front of Pujols... awful.

I just had a baaaaad glimpse of next year, if they don't re-sign Pettite/Clemens... even if they have Wells/Berkman/Lee batting 3-4-5.

Offense has to get going. 2-0 shouldn't be insurmountable.

But against Carpenter and with this team...

Regardless of how many runs they do score... the Astros are a much better team if they're able to get out to a lead, or strike first blood... even if they might eventually go on to lose that lead in the middle innings.

That's why you'd like to have a starting pitcher match some zeros early... or if you're going to give up some runs, at least have it be in a situation where their better hitters might be nicking you up a little (and not walking mediocre hitters, getting the good hitters out, but then giving up singles to more mediocre hitters).

Game over :( It would be a miracle if we score agiainst Carpenter. He is mowing us down bigtime. We are screwed. :(

Taylor's no longer the second coming of Chris Carpenter in my eyes... not enough command of any one single pitch, and he really has trouble putting batters away once he gets ahead in the count.

There goes any chance Everett had for an gold glove. Omar Vizquel will now certainly win the gold glove at SS.

I've definitely noticed this. They have not been a come from behind team this year at all.

This game is far from over and even if we lose this game was in the Cards favor with Carpenter on the mound versus Buchholz, but this really isn't the statement the Astros should be making if they are trying to stay in this race and make it to October.

And Buccholz, as I've said before, is absolutely no better than Wandy at this point.

Hell forget the Wild Card for a moment. I would just like to see the team first get even, jeez.
