I dont' think Bruntlett would have to hit number 8, he would be 1 or 2, and yes, I think he would score even more than 94 runs from that position..... DD
no...you've lost all credibility now with everyone i know. i mean, i haven't talked to them about it, but i'm sure you have. i'll check.
I thought the goal in baseball was to score runs? Adam Everett, on your list of shortstops, is #10 in RBIs, despite hitting at a terrible RBI spot on a bad offensive team. Sounds to me like the guy you'd want to play. Again, since you seem to constantly avoid the question, do you think 1 single every 5 days is going to significantly help this team?
And since he got his playing time that you demanded, he's batting about 0.150. Which shows exactly why making decisions based on the small sample sizes you do is ridiculous in baseball.
That depends on whether anyone is on base during that single, and could an extra single hurt? Also, who said it has to be a single? Why not a home run? Right now, Bruntlett is batting more than .120 above Everett and that amounts to a lot more than an extra single every 4 or 5 days. DD
It's not an imperfect measure - it's a terrible measure. A SS who (literally) has no feet will have a fielding percentage close to 1.000. It doesn't account for range or armstrength at all, which are the primary distinctions between shortstops.
LOL - you use small sample sizes all the time, as you are very aware, stats are easy to manipulate to make an argument. Yes, Burke has been struggling, but since he just got back from a shoulder injury, he deserves some time, by the way, what is Lane hitting during that same time frame? DD
Watching Pujols bat with a tie game in the bottom of the 10th makes me sick. Man I wish the Yankees would buy him off so we don't have to see him
Everyone is so b****y lately on the board. This thread and the one about the kid in the dryer should be blown up.
Wow. So now Brunlett is better than Biggio too (94 runs scored last year)? This is just getting absurd.
Haha ... yeah the Astros forum has been looking like the GARM lately which I have avoided for some time now. Hopefully the Astros can get back to winning and everything can be peaceful again.
Bruntlett is a lot faster than Biggio these days.....Biggio used to score more than 100 every year, and I think Bruntlett is fully capable of that. Especially if you bat Bruntlet first, Biggio 2nd, Berkman 3rd and Ensberg 4th. DD
