Last year Valbuena hit .148 in the 4th spot, so what does our great manager do tonight? Have Valbuena hitting 4th, he is 0 for 3 and 0 for 2 with men on second base. Why??????? He had 2 rbi's in 61 at bats!!!!!!! And Castro hitting 7th, no wonder we have not scored a run yet. Come on Hinch, lineups are not that hard to make.
At some point they need to spend money... The difference between the Astros and Cubs? Not the front office performance... The difference is the ability to sign a #1-2 starter (Lester), a #3-4 starter (Lackey), a premier outfielder (Heyward), a premier middle infielder (Zobrist). I don't expect the Astros to have the finances to do all that... but a #4 bargain bin pitcher (Fister) is it? They couldn't get a #1-2 type starter that would make the difference between a good and very good team? Let's not even get into Hinch's "no runs today" lineups.
I don't want to hear the "It's still early" cause that's the same damn thing that happened to the Rockets and look at them now.
The only fact that we have right now is that it's early. The rockets season has absolutely no bearing on the Astros.
You would think somebody like him who has used this forum so frequently over the years would know that already. Oh wait...
