yup you figure lindstrom was due to have one these days. He's been unusually reliable thus far and he's known to have command issues.
that's what just a marvelous 9/10th for my fantasy team. lindstrom blows the save then loses and braun couldn't manage to be the guy to beat him.
Bud Norris will miss his next start due to bicep tendinitis: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bb/7025019.html Moehler?
LOL I have lindstrom, braun, and prince on my team. I thought braun or prince would have been the guy to beat him. Prince came awfully close.
I wonder what trade value Myers will have at the break if he keeps his ERA under 4.00? Unloading Oz, Puma and Myers could net us some interesting prospects along with having 5 of the top 90 picks in the draft. After all that I hope we will atleast be top 15 in farm systems by this time next season.
Wandy needs to get his act together but, with his contract status and being left handed, he could reel in some nice fish. For some reason I'd like them to keep Lindstrom, he isn't YOUNG but closers can be effective for a long time and this guys arm is top notch.
How about the potent Phillies offense getting shutout in 3 straight games? The Mets outscored them 16-0 in the sweep. Not even the Astros' historically bad offense has gone through a 3-game stretch like that.
Wow I did not notice that. Just as Jerry Manuel's job is in jeopardy, they take 2 out of 3 against the yankees and sweep the phillies.
Lindstrom's 30. He'll be 33 before the Astros start having a chance to do anything. And he'll start getting paid like a closer if the Astros retain him any longer in this role. The last thing we need to do is pay premium for a closer on a 60 win team. And I disagree with you about closers. I think it only holds true for the very best. But how many star closers are there? Rivera, Hoffman, anyone else in the last decade? Usually closers just don't stay on top long enough for long term commitment.
