F Yeah Astros Win!!!! Lidge was pretty nasty tonite despite the one hit.

SF leading SD 1-0 early. Go Giants!!! Hopefully Bonds roided up before the game and the Padres will lose.

That is awesome. I met him in 1990 and I don't remember it at all. Pretty sad huh? I am rather embarrassed about that. I just met Cami that day too and I kind of lost sight of everyone else.

As the resident Everett defender, it was just a small faux pas. Luckily just a tiny little glitch. ;) lol I am so glad that didn't cost us the game because it sure could have.

I told you guys he had it in him. I think I did, may have been on astros.com. Either way, he's got a little of the Captain in him.

granted this is up in the air obviously and ensberg's problem always looked more mental than physical..

but does anyone ever know what the hell was wrong with ensberg and if he'll ever get back to what he used to be or just fluke seasons all around?

15-7 should still get us to the playoffs. We did it at the beginning of the year, and we can do it again.

Hell, the Oilers were 1- 4 at one point, and finished with the best record in Houston's history.

Keep the faith for a few more weeks, gentlemen. It ain't over yet.

i don't know if we get the wildcard at 15-7 just because of the amount teams ahead of us. hmm, but if 5 or 6 of those wins are against the cardinals then the division could very well be ours.

I am dissappointed in Roger not gutting it out and pitching tonight.

This is his LAST year, what does he have to lose?

If your read Ausmus's lips when he's checking on Miller he said, that's for Willy T.

The rest of the season, perhaps? Oswalt played through a strained groin a few years ago and reinjured it and was knocked out for the season. Gutting out an injury sucks - it leads to things like Wagner in 2000 or Ensberg this year. Playing, but sucking.

I'd rather he wait a few days, and we line up Pettitte-Clemens-Oswalt against the Cardinals. If we can pull off a sweep somehow, it's possible we may be just 3 or 4 games back with a 4-game home series coming up later in the month.

Look I know I said 2-3 weeks back, "dead team walking", but that team was playing with no pulse and no sense of urgency.

We've now gone from 60-68 to 69-71 and guess what? STL has more pitching issues than we do. They are no longer a lock for the division.

Think we have issues with Lidge? Izzy has blown 10 saves for STL.

We are hanging by a thread but for whatever reason this team thrives when we count them out and say they're done.

It can still happen as illogical a thought as it is simply because few teams are stepping up here at the wire. I still think overall our offense sucks and we STILL dont have enough to be a playoff team but ... we'll see. Prove me wrong, Stros!

Yeah, he kind of reminds me of Hidalgo. Hit .600/.700 for 3-4 weeks and then .150 to .200 the rest of the season with little or no run production but he plays great defense. Errr.

Consistency. Find a stance stick with it. Actually be clutch more than 50% of the time. Take the lumber off the shoulder and be decisive. Maybe you're wrong a few times but you'll actually create doubt with the pitcher. As of now, Mo is only a danger to walk the bases loaded because he so selective he watches all the pitches go by.

Be more like Lance and less like Dick. Haha!

About Mo, I have a strong hunch that Berry had him change up some things that really just didn't work for Mo, like that weird stance he was using there for a month or so. I think if he just tells Sean Berry to leave him alone he will be back to the Mo we all know and love.

are you serious? havent seen replays? It looked like ausmus had genuine concern for him the way he jumped towards miller.
