    i agree. what happened to playing small ball and manufaturing runs that we heard so much about during last years world series against the sox.

    When Garner took over the team in 2003 it seemed like he was much more aggressive in manufacturing runs. I know the personnel is not the best for this, but I don't see why the Astros rely so much on the old Baltimore Orioles wait-for-the-three-run-homer approach. I think if Garner stressed this aspect of the game more the team wouldn't come up so lamely like they did in the last inning.

    Back to the regularly scheduled Lidge meltdown...
