Lucky to get out of that with only 1 run. Probably not going to matter anyway. This is very dissapointing. Its gonna be tough not having a playoff run after how fun and exciting the last 2 yrs have been. :(
At least the Texans look solid and the Rockets will probably win 55 games.

LUKE SCOTTWALKER!!!! Imagine if he was on our team since the beggining of the year. He'd have like 150 hits

Because Garner had to double switch Lamb out in case the 9th spot came up in the top of the 9th. If not, Qualls would almost assuredly have to bat, since we are out of options in the bullpen tonight.

If Qualls came up to bat with the game tied and runners on, Garner would have been crucified.

I would have rather used Mo, put him at 3rd, and huff in the OF. Orlando should not be in the field.

    Huff's arm isn't any better than Orlando's.

    Go White Sox
the Red Sox are done IMO :(

I think when its all said and done the White Sox are still the best team in baseball and will when it all.
NLCS - Mets vs. Dodgers ALCS - White Sox vs. Tigers

I don't buy that for a minute ... I have way more confidence in Huff in the OF than Orlando ... Not that it makes much of a difference in the game now and he would have likely scored with Huff out there, but Orlando's role on this team should be PH and that is it.

Have you seen Huff's arm. It sucks. He has an infielders arm. Palmerio can't throw either but to say Huff arm is better makes no sense IMO.

I heard from JD that Nieve may have been injured. That sucks. He reminds me of Octavio Dotel. He is nasty from the pen. He is the closer of the future IMO or hell he should be the closer of the present. Still don't understand why Garner refuses to not use Borkowski and Nieve in close games. Lidge sucks so stop using him.

Fernando Nieve left Saturday's game after five innings with a sprained right elbow. Horrible news. Likely DL bound. Knowing Purpura and Garner, they likely call up Zeke Astacio or Mike Gallo. :D

It's a lot easier to watch Astros games when you know they're not going to make the playoffs.

I found it a lot more enjoyable watching the Texans win than the Astros lose.

I payed no attention to the Astros this evening until I flipped over from the Texans game and saw the score 5-4 Brewers with bases loaded and 0 outs in the bottom of the 8th. I just flipped it back onto the Texans game. I wasn't going to waste my time on that junk.

    Astros are pitiful!

Man, the stros are making it harder and harder on themselves while we are all waiting for the miracle run.

I too, sadly. Watched a pre-season game over the Stros. (when we were down by a lot. I did see us score our runs though. (switching back and forth). But stopped watching in the 8th.
