I loved how every fielder just stood still. They knew it was a rocket.

Let's keep Justin Maxwell as the permanent starter in CF, shall we?

Justin Maxwell is a solid big league ballplayer, looking back at his first 2 seasons, he had a very respectable OPS of 787 through his first 170 Plate appearences. He then had a little slump in 2010 and he got mothballed.

His career OPS is .755 now, and he is a very good fielder. His career WAR projected out to 162 games is a very good 4.3, mostly because of his defense. Scouts seemed to have missed the boat on him.

His lack of plate discipline will prevent him from being a star, but he is our best outfielder and should play everyday.

Last night's game was so frusturating. Bud Norris should have gotten out of the 6th without giving up a run, but neither Marwin nor Downs wanted to go get the ball, and then when the ball finally gets to Marwin, he stupidly throws it to 2nd.

When Chipper had that RBI double, it should have never happened. Walking him is an easy decision in that spot, but Mills doesn't know what he is doing.

Anyway, I got a BP ball, and 6 sigs (Schafer, Pearce, Corporan, Mills, Storey, J.D. Martinez)

Also overheard a conversation Mickey Storey was having. He talked about being pissed that he never got a callup last year despite him thinking he deserved it, but this year he didn't think about, and if it happened, it happened. He also talked about making a buttload of money now, but also said he made a lot of money pitching internationally during the offseason.

Interesting. Thanks for the storey. (wait for it...)

I wonder if some of these guys just have no idea of how they're valued organizationally. He kept it to himself (unlike Cosart) but still to think like that isn't helping his cause. Looking at his stats from last year, he was solid but not impressive.
