Remember, no PBP in these threads and keep the chatter on topic (if it is about something other than this series, talk about it in another thread).

Crap. I didn't realize the Astros were playing in Atlanta this early in the season. I'll have to get tickets for either Saturday or Sunday.

Freaking hate the freaking Braves. As bad or worse than the jazz. hated them since the 80s.

    freaking braves.

my team sucks, but I still hope they kill the braves.

You started hating them even before they started beating us in the playoffs? Why do you hate them so much?

I know I hate them because I live in GA, and deal with Braves fans all around me, and deal with them being a-holes when I go to Turner Field and up until a couple of years ago, they always lost, aside from one game that we left when it went into extras, and the Astros one as soon as we got in the car.

My first playoff game I watched Kevin Millwood throw a one-hitter against us back in 1999. Our only hit was a Caminiti HR to RF near where we were sitting. 2004 & 2005 were such sweet justice.

Old NL West days. Dodgers, Braves, Reds, Giants, Padres, Astros. Hated the Dodgers and Braves the most. As a kid, I had all their lineups memorized. Pascual Perez, Gene Garber with his stupid "fist thrust" during his windup, Bruce Benedict, Bob Horner, Glenn Hubbard, Brett Butler and Dale Murphy... oh and Phil Neikro. and Rafael Ramirez. Hated those guys.

the 90s just added heat to the fire. '04 and '05 sure were sweet.

Carlos Lee is a waste of time in left field. We might as well just play with two outfielders. Too fat and slow to even attempt a play on that ball there

There was a long rain delay. Sometimes you pull your starter in that situ out of fear of injury.

Somewhat nice win. Tainted a bit by Berkman still blowing balls with his .00001 avg but thank god he's hitting solo jacks in between every 40-50 AB's and picking up 0-3 and 1-3/4 games along the way :).

That and the fact that we've only won even half our games because the opposing team's players have choked on plays leading to errors, but oh well we are victorious, lol.

Went to the game today. The rain delay's are starting to get annoying here in Atlanta. Roy looked fricking great though. He was attacking hitters, throwing mainly 94-96mph fastballs. It was like the Roy of old. 2k's in his only inning of work.

The rest of the Astros pitchers were a big 'meh'. Those guys can't hit the strike zone. It seemed like every pitcher after Roy threw more balls than strikes.

Bourn does not look like a major leaguer. The kid swings at everything. Surprising, everyone else looked at least decent if not good.

Actually, Bourn is hitting a respectable .280, leading the team in Runs and SB's and playing some great defense in CF. It would be nice if he hit .290-.300, though.
