I DO like the idea of giving Morgan protection in the 2 hole, but ideally I would like to see Adam hit there like he did when Mr.$$$$$$ was an Astro.Everett can handle the bat(and is a good baserunner) and will see many fastballs out of the 2 hole. Before Everett got hurt Beltran did a great job of helping us getting the most of Everett.

Everett only batted their when 1M was in charge... and even then, he was basically there to sacrafice bunt. Once Garner came here, the team didn't start taking off until Mr. $$$$$$$ started batting 2nd, Bagwell 3rd, Berkman 4th, and Kent 5th.

Morgan's batting #2, not necessarily to give him protection, but because he's pretty good at getting on base against lefties... and the big bats get a chance to drive him in.

McCann's a stud... amazing that he's only 22 years old.

Willy can't be continuing to make those crazy fielding mistakes... he's lost a few balls from time to time.... good thing Scott was there as his backup.

Yeah,I will say this Morgan draws a ton of walks.Sometimes though I think he gets caught up in being too fine up there....Just doesn't seem comfortable in the box most of the time this year....injuries,headcase?

Yeah we did roll with that lineup. When exactly did Adam break his wrist? It seemed to me that he had caught up with big league pitching and was doing a good job at the plate then.He hasn't seemed like the same guy at bat since.

Willy should have hesitated just a little there...let Laroche fly right by him, jump over and land on first stafely... easier said than done I guess. :p

    A pitcher's duel seems appropriate.

I think the biggest indicator that he just hasn't been comfortable at the plate this season is that he keeps changing his stance. That and he gets a little too selective...almost like either A) he's afraid to hit it or B) he's just outhinkin himself.

We're gonna have to scratch out a run somehow (like yesterday)... and eventually James will start relenting some.

Nice! Roger gets out of the inning with only 7 pitches thrown.

Well if it goes to the bullpen who would be favored...Atlanta's is weaker but they have a more potent lineup... no one said it'd be easy.

Chipper = luckiest 3B in the history of the game.
