I'm not missing your point. I agree.

    2 new bats.

    1 hits 4th or 5th and 1 6th or 7th.

Alex and Diaz take the 2 the new hitters don't.

Meyers hits 8th and Pena 9th with the only exception to that being Meyers up to 7th if Dubon is in the lineup w/ both of them (due to days off for one of the top 7 hitters)

Bregman's lack of speed and hitting (this season) makes him questionable batting that high. Peña has played his best at #2. Yordan and Tucker are there for protection and he'll see more fastballs instead of sliders to flail at.

Peña at #2 extends the lineup because Bregs at #5 or 6 might be one of best options in the league. The problem is Bregman's ego and Espada's testicular fortitude.

    It's all about Dusty.

If Dusty played Chas, Diaz, or insert player, that poster would be 100% onboard and make whatever excuse it took to justify why Dusty did (regardless of production) --- but since Dusty did not, every excuse will be made to justify why Dusty did not.

There are a few others here doing that too. They just try to be less obvious about it.

That's why time and history is so important in life.

The truth will always reveal itself, regardless of specific/random occurrences. Patterns happen and will be judged.
