You know, I like JD and want him to do well, but he hasn't been good, on either offense or defense. Trade bait., he's replaceable. AJ Reed would have been a better use of the roster spot. Lefty power bat, and he's had basically no chances.

I still can't believe he's in there.... seems pretty wasteful. They must be confident that Correa will be back for the playoffs... or else I'd expect Gurriel to be the full time 3B with Bregman going to SS. Or just play Marwin at SS or 3B. No more Davis... glad there wasn't any Reed this year.
I've said it a dozen times if I've said it once this year...I never need to see Davis at 3B ever again. eta: wicked ****ing pitch from Keuchel for the K
It seems like he usually screws up early on(1st or 2nd inning.Could be wrong). Today he didn't. I would take my chances and give him 3 innings. If the score is close, regardless of what's he done, I would go to McCullers for a couple of innings. If they have a 3+lead, I would allow him to go out in the 4th with a very,very short leash.
Somehow managed to squirm out of that. Davis starting over White and Marwin in a game that matters still doesn't make a bit of sense to me.
I'm guessing a scheduled off day for Marwin, he hasn't had one in a while. But not having White at 1B, with Yuli at 3B and Davis on the bench is inexcusable, IMO.
