It is a throwaway game and no one but you gives a s***. The only thing that made that a "clutch situation" was trying to get off the field fast enough to get to the celebration.
Oh well...that was kind of tame in comparison to past celebrations. But, I guess that is to be expected given they celebrated in the hotel in the AM and we are on the road. It would have been better at home as was said.
Congrats to the Astros. This is the most baseball I have watched in my life (not counting last year's playoffs) and it has been very enjoyable. I even caught myself watching other games in relation to where the Astros were in the standings and potential playoff matchups. Thanks to my front running of the Astros, I have gained an appreciation for baseball in general. I enjoy watching it now. Thankful I have even more sports to watch waiting for the Rockets.
I actually started following football more closely because I was so disappointed in the Rockets and the NBA sabotaging their chances at a championship back in the day. I'm thankful the Astros have rewarded my pop-up fandom so fast. Still waiting on the Texans.
I don't think home or road would've mattered. Just needed to be in the moment as opposed to 18 hours later and after having to sit through a meaningless game.
Seeing the celebration on twitter is different than seeing it live. I gotta say it feels weird watching a celebration after knowing they clinched last night and coming off a loss. Its still fun to watch but its just weird.
Lol anyone see Giles reaction for getting the save in the most meaningless game of the year so far? Dude acted like he closed out game 7.
If it helps him exorcise his demons, then whatever. If he's too dumb to realize how great he had it, winning a world series ring, then i mean c'mon this isn't douchey or unexpected. He's like the weird kid who smells his farts, just let him be.
If striking out J.D. Davis in a meaningless September game is the highlight of your career you should probably kill yourself.
