Let's keep Breggy sandwiched between Yordan and Tuck. I felt he always hits well in this spot, especially when they pitch around Yordan and he takes it personally. It worked well at the end of last season through the playoffs.
As much as is talked about this fear, teams rarely do this during regular season games other than maybe really late/critical situations…. And even then, it’s a risk depending on what the score is.
If Bregman is behind him, yes. They're not likely to pitch around him with the bases empty, it will put 2 runners on at least 1 in scoring position. And with his eye the bases could then end up loaded for Tucker. Sometimes it takes a pitcher time to get back into the zone. Bregman takes it personally and mad Bregman is good productive Bregman and he will have seen pitches from the on deck circle. Why does he wear #2? I swear it wouldn't surprise me if he has a chip tattooed on his shoulder.
If Julks isn't on the October roster is sure as hell won't be because Dusty didn't give him the opportunity. Never would have dreamed opening day that he would almost be an everyday player with an 84 OPS+. Have to admit, that 37 to 3 K/BB ratio is dead sexy.
Young brother Brown would have an Era of 2.7 if not for a few terrible ball calls vs the Whitesox and a Jeremy missed scoop against the Angels that led to an extended inning. But who is keeping track. He is still doing great. I read that he has the highest WaR from the rooks. Also so in the comments if he wins ROY they get a draft pick? Don't know if the poster was being serious.
On my way to stadium. Paid $ 55 f(that includes $18 in fees) for 2 outfield tickets in the front row near the foul pole…lol. On vacation in San Fran.
I believe MLB added draft pick rewards for young players meeting certain thresholds, to try to discourage teams from manipulating service time of top rookies.
