Jake's resurgence was fun while it lasted. I will say, not smart on Dusty to have him pitch three times in a row against the same team, and I say that as one of his biggest fans and defenders (I think he's managed the month of July extremely well). I would have done something so JV and Valdez each got one start vs SEA and one vs OAK, instead of both pitching vs SEA back to back, and given Odorizzi a start vs Seattle rather than a third in a row vs Oakland.

Maybe our offense can score some runs against the mighty Cy Young himself tonight.

The Astros are 6-4 in his 10 starts prior to today. The longest win streak they were on before any of the 4 games they lost was ... 1.

One day we won't have to see Jake j*zz face in an Astros uniform again. And that day will be glorious.

To clarify, this is what I meant by playing down to opponents. I know maybe the numbers don’t line up. But this is an historically bad offense and a pitcher with an 8+ ERA and we are getting thrashed lol.

Y'all do realize Odor-izzi is gonna stay in the rotation the rest of the season? Dusty thinks he's the bee's knees.

I can see Junior getting back and Dusty deciding to move Javier back to the bullpen.

    Y'all better brace yourselves.

The only thing that could save us is Click knows he can't tell Dusty how to manage the team but he sure can trade away Odor-izzi for a backup catcher or backup option at first base or for essentially nothing if it has to come to that.
