My theoretical best lineup: 3 OBP1 Bregman .381 4 OBP2 Altuve .362 1 OPS+1 Alvarez 169 2 OPS+2 Gurriel 165 5 SLG1 Brantley .471 6 SLG2 Tucker .465 7 SLG3 Correa .430 9 OBP4 Maldenado .234 8 OBP3 Straw .295 Most people would want Maldy last, but I like Straw ahead of the top of the order. This also ignores lefty/righty. The number on the left is the order I fill the lineup.
I fill the 3rd and 4th slots first, so Alvarez is third in my lineup, Gurriel is fourth. Then I go back to the first two slots. I just prioritize OPS+ in the 3 and 4 slots, OBP in the first two slots, SLG in 5, 6 and 7 slots and then back to OBP for 9th and 8th. I like to hide the worst batter in the 8 slot instead of the 9th, particularly if hes slow. Don't want those basepaths cluttered with a slowpoke.
I guess I'll leave it with you guys. My eyes are getting blurry and it looks like I'll be up at 2AM to watch the replay. I hate west coast games.
Historically, we handle Manaea in Oakland but get dominated @MMP. Same thing happened this year so far Doesn't make sense (OAK pitcher's park MMP the opposite) but that's what happened
