Peacock's velo does not look very promising. Poor guy might not have much left in the tank as he approaches FA.

He's had so many various arm problems that when his shoulder did it again this year I was shocked he ever pitched, this year or ever.

Love the guy. Considering the low inning load this year, and depending on health afterwards, I'd bring him back on the right short contract.

So many things with this game. where to start? lol. but 61 pitches for their starter is nuts for 7 innings.

I sure do miss that team that was dangerous enough to come back from behind and win games like this.

    The Good:
Josh Reddick on base twice. Scored our only run.
Only 3 runs given up to this offense, and stranding 7.
Bielak's pickoff and Dusty's successful challenge.

    The Bad:
Brad Peacock's time is probably up. Had a decent run, but injuries have taken their toll. Shows you how impressive it is to be good in the majors for an extended period of time.
Bats as a whole, were just ice cold.
Would like to see better command from Urquidy, and more punchouts and less contact.
Diaz's play at 2nd that allowed Grossman to reach was bad, should have been E4 instead of a hit.

    The Ugly:

Manaea only needed 61 pitches to get through seven innings. Where was the patience? Make him work. Looks like our guys were starting to get too desperate.
We're now below 500. That's what we are, not a good team.

Yes we're not very good and I don't disagree with anything you posted HOWEVER we have been just flat out UNLUCKY on some well hit balls and this has been going on for a while now. It's uncanny. You have to be a little lucky on occasion and it just ain't happening when we need it. (we still suck though)

Only difference is at least the Rockets are in the playoffs, but it's debatable how far they will go too lol.

Cardinals did it years ago. I think their win total was in the low 80s. But well, I don't get that vibe for us this year.

This season, with all the up and down, wining then losing, all the untried and previously little known players thrown into roles, busted late inning leads, sporadic offensive ineptness, so reminds me of the rebuild years in terms of team performance and unpredictability.

This is true, but as @Nick said we pitch well then we don't hit, we'll hit well and not pitch. Good game by the starters? Get some run support? Bullpen implodes. Etc...

It ain't just luck, it's just ****ed.

Yep. All teams have a version of these types of stretches at some point, no matter how bad/good you are, but over 162 they tend to even out.

Over 60, it ****s you up more than it should. For me, the rest of the year is simply about the further development/consistency of Framber, Urquidy, and Javier (along with the continued hitting of Tucker). Curious to see I the presence of fans will impact any player at the moment who is currently doing ok (mainly focusing on Framber/Javier).
