I thought of another word to describe hitters 6-9. Hopefully the top of the lineup can score 4 runs today.
Of course, but I was specifically referring to the top of the 1st inning of this game (see the post I quoted). He had 2 putouts that looked somewhat impressive.
Obviously wish we were fully healthy, but watching all the young kids get consistent playing time is a pretty fun storyline. Seeing them play as well as they have is the cherry on top, but there's still a lot of series left. We need our vets to continue to lead. Reddick, Yuli, JV, Cole, Marisnick have done a great job so far. Regardless, kudos to Luhnow. We are so lucky.
Ugh obligatory solo dinger. Hope this is it. As much as I love Cole, it's clear he's regressed (BB and HR allowed are looking like 2017). TBH, if we traded for Boyd (9 K 0 BB in 5 IP today, did great outside of Dansby Swanson), I'd consider starting him Game 2 in the playoffs, to go R/L/R/L.
