The next step is consistency. They have been having bust out games occasionally all year.

Umps not on the Astros side at all this series. Good thing we have a 5 run lead at least. That was clearly a checked swing.

Happy to see Marwin heat up again. And very sad to see Reddick be the only one without a hit tonight. I really hope he heats up against Seattle this next series.

Astros drawing the line and saying, "You shall not pass."

Glad to see Verlander and Cole so into the game. Someone must have spoken up in the dugout today.

How do you figure? Wasn't a save situation. GIles would've given up the 5 run lead.

If this series lit a fire in them, then that loss has served its purpose

Really wish we did win that game. Very very important, and still not happy about the call.
Poor Maldonado. :( But still impressive that he had 3 XBH, and the extra base hit cycle. I take back what I said in the ex-Astro thread about Maldonado not being necessary. Not because of today, I was just venting over letting go of Sandoval. That part I will not take back, wish we just traded a RHP prospect instead.

Were they playing Oakland or Seattle’s AAA team?

Not today Oakland, not today. Back on top alone!
Congrats to Verlander on win 200.
