They showed it later. MLB also has access to their own angles and can sync up multiple views... in this case, whether or not the tag is on when the hand is on the plate. Maldonado tagged him in the chest... by that screen cap, looks like he would have been able to tag him earlier, but he didn’t.
Eh, it's mid-August and still plenty of baseball left. Team was in the midst of a horrid stretch this time last year too. The difference is the division is better this year. I'm definitely frustrated with the team and mad they let another one get away. But I'm not hitting the panic button yet, not even if they lose the series or get swept. I'll reserve that for next month, if they're several games back and if the team's not healthy still.
If they get healthy, they have enough time to get on a tear again. Still have to figure out who closes though.
No. I had an opinion. He looked safe. Which I guess was correct because I doubt MLB is making sh*t up. Too many damn cry baby homers in hear tonight.
Oh yea, dude, this was the friendliest post ever, "Did you actually see his hand on the bag? No it was obscured by Maldonados shoe. He couldve easily been touching his shoe which was right above the bag." Why don't you check yourself and how you are treating others before you call me emotional or accuse me of "lashing out."
First road run allowed by Rondon this season. Astros struggle mightily in close games. They're barely .500 in 1-2 run games.
Because I observed closely? It looked as if the hand touched the plate before the glove touched the ribs... it's not that hard to see.
Don't get so riled up are you'll awaken your boyfriend. How would feel about such effeminate behavior? Actually he might like that. You do you.
Consider yourself reported again. I'm sure digging yourself deeper into this hole is a good idea. Keep it up.
The offense is running on fumes for this month, the losing of 10 out of 11 games. The A's are Moneyball. Last Year they were annoying winning and sweeping series, now they can taste a wounded Astros team, they are feasting right now like sharks.
There was another angle, more from the view in front of home plate that showed more clearly the tag being a fraction of a second after the hand. It’s obviously a close play. Had the Astros been the team batting, every single person would be unable to see him as anything but safe.
The better team won tonight. Correa and Bregman blew the game in the 5th or whatever it was with the worst defensive plays I’ve seen all year. Morton showing terrible control that inning too (someone should take away his sedatives, he’s starting to look like Hinch out there.) We have a coach that would rather doodle on a clipboard than inspire any confidence in his team. What I thought were Type A guys were really just low IQ meatheads who’d rather be polishing their trophies from last year than playing with any kind of grit and intensity. They look like a bunch of p***y whipped d leaguers out there.
The A's are coming! Mike Fiers, Daniel Mengden, Jed Lowrie, Ramon Laureano & the A's are coming! They're not gonna give it up once they take control! Great thing they won it all last year. They're in a fight to make it this year.
The only way to deal with this is to do what we did last year, take the bullpen out of the equation, shoot it. Use nothing but starters and simply outscore. We can't pretend that Sipp has mysteriously overcome his horrid past, or that McHugh is anything more than average, that Rodon is a closer, or that we have in the least way managed to overcome late inning fear on the mound. It all looks good on paper, but we all know it's an illusion for what is coming when it counts.
