Long-term, it's not out of the question that LMJ gets moved to the back-end of the pen. The Astros are not going to move LMJ to the back end of the pen with 22 games left in the regular season, after he's made 1 start since coming off the DL, when they're in the middle of a pennant race, when they have a very effective closer already.
So, predictions for today? 1) Team comes back angry and galvanized and looking to take it out on the A's. OR 2) Team comes back depressed and flops around like a dying fish.
They can't afford to. I agree. Right now, mchugh and fiers are so bad at this point that we need mccullers to have quality starts.
Wouldn't you say 1 is not possible without 3. I only say that because I don't think he was implying 3 wasn't possible. It was a simplistic set of options though.
I just don't understand someone banging on drums for the entire baseball game. I know it's their thing but I find it incredibly stupid and annoying. I would not go to a game there. That's bs.
Not at all. Teams have a better sense of perspective than fans - they aren't going to get angry after every loss. They can just forget and move on and play neither angry nor bummed.
"Looking to take it out on the A's" means "Playing good baseball" I don't think he meant they would literally be angry to the point where it would distract the team from playing well. He meant angry in the sense that they would come out focused, wanting to atone for a bad loss. (which entails playing good baseball)
Let them get into our heads early, that's good. They're only 20 games under .500 and it's not like Cleveland has won 17 games in a row or anything.
White should be immediately benched for that, christ And that should have been a strikeout, c'mon umps.
