Going full platoon in CF [Rasmus/Gomez], DH [essentially Reed/Gonzalez], C [Castro/Gattis] is going to make this lineup so much better.

    Agree.

The whole they're overloading at positions or where are guys gonna find playing time, oh there's playing time to be had. 1B(or 3B if Val moves over), DH and two OF spots. Now hopefully & you're counting on Breg & Yuli fill two of those spots.

But yes, time to move on from guys like Gomez, & Marisnick & Ramus(4th OF if he's brought back at all) & Marwin can move back to a super utility role. Get rid of some of these everyday .230-.220-.210-or worse hitters. At least send them to bench.

It's that same "kick the can" mentality that's got us in this financial mess. Sometimes, you have to cash in potential for present growth. Guys like Gattis, Rasmus, Singleton, Marisnick, Gomez etc are not long-term answers, and are detrimental to the team right now. Call up Bregman, move Yuli along as fast as you possibly can, move Marwin to the super-sub role, swing a deal for a top flight pitcher, and see if you can take this division by the balls.

Not that we don't have a good chance of winning it all this year, but I think SI was pretty spot on with their 2017 projection. Next year we will finally go into the season with a solidified roster/lineup and all the fat trimmed.

That is, assuming they bring up Bregman before next June.

Nice to get a run early. Wish we could have gotten more there, but I'll take it.

Jose Altuve is the best player in baseball.

And I don't think its close. Call me bias. But come on now.

I am still upset he wanted to bunt in the 9th the other night.

I think he's the AL MVP right now. He's just on a different planet.
