It's inevitable that they go to computerized strike zone, but baseball progresses at glacier speed. You need the umps for everything else, but balls/strikes is something easily fixable. It's a seriously hard job, and it's not their fault, have you ever had a 90+ MPH baseball thrown at you? Have you ever seen a bigboy slider or curve?
Of course it's hard. But I have no sympathy for the idiots who have ever been fooled more than zero times by a catcher shifting to either side of the plate. That's just idiots sucking at their unnecessary job.
Inconsistency is what pisses me off. As long as they're calling the same zone for every pitcher/hitter in a game, it's cool.
I think the FO is too. He had crazy defense, basepath and power skills when they acquired him, but I doubt anybody (and if they did, promote that scout pronto) thought he'd hit for the contact/average that he has so far.
BOOOOOM!!!! Still, you just cannot bat any of Springer/Gattis/Carter/Castro back to back. Lineup conundrum.
