That inning could have turned this game but they luckily got out of it. The baseball Gods must be starting to feel sorry for this team and their dumb ass manager against the Rangers.

Everyone that has pitched today has an era under 3.50. That I trust.

Mainly in extra inning stints only... when pitchers aren't readily available.

When its time for save situations... Hinch rarely has taxed a pitcher more than one inning.

Like I said earlier, this reeks of pre-game planning as far as guys he wanted to get into the game, regardless. The Astros have to win this game... its right there for them.

I will join the chorus. I just can't understand Hinch's logic here. If Gregerson comes in the 9th I think I'll lose it.

I would be fine with him if he had a great right hand man that basically told him when to make in game changes.

I think you are spot on with this

This organization isn't going to ever hire a traditional manager with Luhnow running it. Even if at some point they get rid of Hinch, he will be replaced with someone else who agrees to do things by whatever the number crunchers say

Doesn't mean we can't win it all, but it does mean that anyone who wants a more traditional approach is gonna drive themselves nuts

There was NO reason to pull Feliz right there, none at all....glad it worked out but....

On a side note, Atreyu from NeverEnding Story played Harry Potter Sr. Look it up.

Has to be Harris... Gregerson would make this board explode.

I don't think the number crunchers would tell Hinch the pull Feliz there... It was very much a Hinch move.
