Uh, a routine double play ball was messed up

Giles did his job here, Correa didn't

No way Correa holds on to the short stop position once that kid in the minor comes up. Move over to third.

Also, I don't know what I'm talking about. Just what I hear on sports radio.

He's a piece of *****. My most hated player in baseball, him owning the Stros just adds on to my hate.

What the **** is it about Odor and the Astros. He's a complete trash player against the rest of the league.

Exactly ! He is just an average fielder that makes some great plays every once in a while

It's just as if there are external forces at work here that won't let the Rangers lose to the Astros.

    Blame Correa.

Good teams make you pay for your mistakes. Astros would have left the runner(s) stranded.

Moral victory, if we can avoid being swept. We had a lead late. Sucks the bully (our biggest strength) got punked, but we didn't get embarrassed by any means.

If we get swept though, winning the division is almost completely out of the picture. Not really because of GB, but mentally vs TEX.

And sooooo many of you wondered why Hamel chose the Rangers over us.

    Would they?

Regardless - boneheaded mistake after boneheaded mistake. How Correa can't turn that DP is just baffling. How they can't bring runners on 3rd w 0 or 1 out home on 2 or 3 occasions is just baffling. How Marwin can forget to play defense entirely is just baffling. How they can't keep a lead against this team for more than 1/3 an inning is just baffling. How they can yet again allow a run on a wild pitch (in the first inning of course) is just baffling.

    All of it.... Baffling.

Correa needs to make that play. Of course, going 3-11 with RISP doesn't help. Springer and Altuve had some chances that didn't go our way like they have been recently.

It's encouraging to say the least that they went toe-to-toe with the likely division winner at their ballpark for the first game.

Wasn't on Giles at all. Was on defense and hitting with RISP.

Uh yeah they would. Absolute no brainer.

It's baffling that he messed up the double play? Really? It was a mistake, it's happened to literally every ss to ever play the position. It's not hard to understand. It sucks and it was part of a number of reasons we lost and continue to lose to this team but it wasn't baffling.

Baffling is mental ownage that the Rangers have over this entire franchise.
