If they don't make it we'll all of the sudden start hearing about how this season is invalid and doesn't really matter anyway (which is true, but just hasn't been said by the media and masses yet)
The only facet of the game that Baker could play a part in terms of the mounting injuries is over using guys. And I would guess that in every instance, he or Strom asked the player how he felt before sending them out there. Now, if by taking some of the responsibility, you mean second guessing what the players are telling him, well, that is on the player, not the manager IMO. If you mean he has made some poor choices on who to send in late in games, I just dont think he has had a large enough pool of guys (pitchers) he knew he could count on to make much better decisions than he has made.
Here we go, ugh. Have a bad feeling this is going to be the only run scored in this entire game by either team based on how things have been going lately.

And that ladies and gents is how you eliminate yourself from divisional contention barely two weeks into the season. And this with half your lineup heading into free agency while the top of your rotation ages another year
