Wow some late inning drama I wish I would have seen (seems like we play better on the road again).

Love Jake but that "sac fly" should have been crushed, middle middle change up.

Jake is one of the least clutch hitters you will ever see.

I think it was close. He put his knee down just before catching the ball. He was definitely not blocking beforehand. So maybe they ruled the throw took him there.

Nah, really wasn’t that close. He wasn’t blocking the plate initially and the throw absolutely took him there. Even the Angels broadcast was saying it was definitely clean immediately after seeing the replay before they completed the review.

Really was a perfect throw by Brice and execution by Price.

Amuslingly, according to FanGraphs, Jake was the Astros top clutch hitter last year, and top 5 this year.

Major League Leaderboards - 2025 - Batting | FanGraphs Baseball

Yordan is dead last for the team this year. Yanier was the worst in 2025 and 2nd worst this year.

edit: in Yordan's case this year, it may be in part because in clutch situations, people don't pitch to him and a walk might be worse than he'd normally do so it automatically drags his clutch stats down.
