Stating the obvious but he’s getting paid on past performance with a hope of future wealth. Bregmans swing is so one dimensional and by that I mean he doesn’t have a lot flexibility to go out or down or up to go and get a pitch. His eye keeps him in AB s and you got to come to him but rarely beats a pitcher on a good pitch conversely he has to wait for a mistake or a walk.
