I figured as much. Baker really liked Straw. I guess Straw did what he was asked to do. He's in a better situation now.
I understand that. Baker played/managed/won a lot of games with and against players much like Straw leading off games- Brett Butler, Vince Coleman, and Bob Dernier come to mind. The Astros had Brian Hunter, Gerald Young, Eric Yelding, and Michael Bourn among others MLB is not the same game it was 20+ years ago but it is nice that Myles found a spot to fit in ( and get paid)
