Absolutely no reason to pull Martes if they're going to use Liriano and Clippard

Wow. Blow a 5 run lead to the team behind you in the division. Granted they are way back, but just a **** show. JD Davis strikes yet again.

Hinch is the worst. Seriously, that guy has two modes- stare into space, or he gets needlessly cute.

Yeah I thought they were pulling him for Giles. When I saw it was Clippard I immediately thought that makes no sense.

I hope Davis is already in a taxi up to AAA.

Yea, he can take Fisher with him. I'm tired of the triple A guys already.

On an unrelated note, I enjoy Blake Parker's little swiggy swaggy settling into the rubber.

Astros better get Verlander... It's obvious that they need an infusion. If the move for him doesn't happen then you know where Crane's priorities are.

Why the quick hook with Martes? You let Davis and Fisher play through struggles but you pull Martes after walking perhaps the best player in baseball and giving up a weak hit to a 1st ballot HOFer?

I will say that I don't think Clip made a bad pitch per se. Simmons went down to a knee to get it after all. Just surprised Martes was pulled so quickly.

Also, lost opportunity to add a game to lead over Boston.
