Indeed, also if a guy like Rasmus can struggle so bad against Weaver I can see why a rookie with only a handful of MLB at bats might struggle too. Maybe he can get to the Angels bullpen and get that first hit under his big belt.
First time I've ever used it, but I see now what people mean about the ignore feature. My pages are only like 10 posts long.
Brilliant job by Hinch to avoid wasting a reliever when Dallas is all set. He gets his quality start, and let's get him the W too.
Im not concerned about the hitless part...it's the approach, the vision, the swing, etc...Mechanically, he looks off. It's not writing off his career, just that he needs a lot of work, and that may best be served in AAA.
I don't think patience is going to increase his bat speed but hopefully he can figure things out. He was on a roll when he was called up so this looks particularly bad.
These are some terrible takes. Reed is fine, he just needs to get one hit and then the pressure will be off.
Good at bat for Reed. Time to move Marwin to 1b and Rasmus to LF for defensive purpose as we are winning by 4.
None of those things have ever been a negative for him before, but yeah he just might not be ready. This is his trial by fire and he'll know what he needs to do to be ready for Aug/Sept.
Reed has played a whopping 4 games. He looked fantastic in his first game @KC. He's making good contact a decent amount. He's a good hitter. It's just a matter of time. Baseball is a game that requires patience. Especially at the beginning, where nerves are high.
