Thoughts on Lincecum? Can he get back to be a serviceable starter? Still has some good stuff. Was very strange seeing him in the Angels uniform
I can't even imagine what an acceptable haul would be... Correa/Springer/McCullers would probably be the admission price, right? I mean... And that's why they'll never trade him. He earns every penny and he makes building your team (because of how good he is) that much easier.
bobrek, you're the man. This worked like a charm last night. He's on my ignore list, but I still his posts when people quote him. It's like that Simpson's Halloween special where the advertisements come to life and start destroying Springfield. If you don't pay them any attention, eventually they'll disappear. Take a tip from Paul Anka... just don't look!
He can in spurts, but not over the long haul. I don't think he'd cost that much. Correa+Springer gives you 2 guys that play at an All-star level at 2 of the most important positions in baseball, while leaving you the money to acquire a 3rd all-star via FA. If the Angels got that offer, it would be a mistake not to take it. Thankfully, that isn't happening.
HIs fastball is not, well, fast, has a nice changeup that works vs lefties, but righties will hit him hard. The Freak is an average to below average number 5 starter right now in his career.

Amazing how dominant he used to be and how much he has fallen off in a short period of time. Small frame and bad mechanics, he just broke down too fast.
Angels need a lot of luck in prospects. Of their top 30 prospects not including recent draftees, only one is hitting better than a 0.725 OPS in the minors. 2 guys between 0.700 and 0.725. Colin Moran with his struggles is at 0.738.
Definitely a barren system (Of course, our terrible system produced Altuve, JD Martinez, and Dallas Keuchel, so you never know).
Years ago, when Dale Murphy was past his prime, the report was that they offered him to the Astro for a young Biggio, Caminiti and Cameron Drew (who was supposed to be a superstar before his knee injury). It seems they wanted a 4th player as well. Fortunately the Astros told them to stick it.
Marwin in LF. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Here's how the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Astros?src=hash">#Astros</a> will stack up for the series finale in Anaheim. <a href="https://t.co/Q2ZrhrACnM">pic.twitter.com/Q2ZrhrACnM</a></p>— Houston Astros (@astros) <a href="https://twitter.com/astros/status/748203074649366528">June 29, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
It is crazy how well the Rangers are playing. There are still a lot of games left, and the WC race is a definite possibility.
