Qualls should not be pitching in close games. How many times do we have to go through this, and to follow up with Thatcher? :-/

Exactly, if Carter doesn't halfass it and makes a solid throw, guy is out by 3 steps. It was a terrible bunt.

everyone b****ing about Qualls, but Thatcher came in and walked the only man he faced (who btw is an awful hitter, and somehow worse than awful vs lefties) while allowing the man at 2nd to steal 3rd because of his delivery

Welp. This is about the time that Carter unloads a bomb and everyone just stares at that keyboards in estatic annoyance.

This 1.000 OPS every third month for Carter is not worth my frustration the other two months.

0-14. How long do we keep trotting him out there? Jeff? AJ?

Take it easy man. He's batting .625 when he makes contact with a 1-0 count. I don't know about you but I want that in my lineup...

yet none of this would've happened if qualls doesn't give up a hit and wild pitch.

When is Hinch gonna learn his lesson about Qualls? I know the bullpen is tired but these are important divisional games, can't keep throwing him out there in close battles.

Just sucks when you give a winnable game away. Hinch had a clueless 8th inning. Just dumb as hell to keep marching Qualls out there in close games.

can't blame it all on 1 guy and say "if". It wouldn't have happened if Fields didn't give up another HR to Pujols either. Lots of guys to blame. Qualls is sucking, but Thatcher was awful right there in an relatively easy spot

I remember having this feeling in the mid-2000s when Phil would trot out Trevor Miller in key positions in the game and I would yell at my TV to bring in Qualls instead.

    Oh the irony...

Worst part about playing on the west coast?

It's 12:40 AM and Im wound up enough that I won't be falling asleep any time soon. It'll be 1:30 AM on a week night before I can get in bed and I need to get up by 6:30.

    Not good.
