Hamilton has had a bad year, but it is truly amazing how bad his season has been if you take out his stats against Houston and Kansas City: Against Hou/KC: 7 HRs, 9 RBIs, 281 BA Against everyone else: 1 HR, 9 RBIs, 197 BA
It's mentioned after all of his successful starts, but it is still worth noting that Lyles has a 2.57 ERA in all of his starts this season when excluding the one 4IP/8ER outing he had against the Rangers. That start was also the only start where he didn't register at least 3 strikeouts (only 1 K).
Throw strikes. Good lord. Also, Crowe was safe on the squeeze. I saw what Ashby saw when trying to justify it -- the catcher made the sweep motion right before Crowe's foot touched. But actual contact didn't come until after.
