I wouldn't say luck, but I would say there is a rythmn to the game, and sometimes by changing a pitcher you break up the other team's rythmn. DD
Either after the wild pitch or sac fly. Look man, if you really think there was no reason for Qualls to be taken out after those three runs were scored then there's no reason to debate this, as it's obvious that there is no way we'll reach an agreement on what would've been the right move. Good night.
And then sometimes you're left with no pitchers... in a tie game... in the American league... when you're the road team... with a bullpen full of guys who are struggling (Wheeler), or re-treads such as Moheler and Borkowski. You also still need a closer in case you want to try and save a posisble lead. What about the "rhythm" of the game caused Ensberg's hard hit ball to be caught, while their slow bleeders either doesn't get fielded, or their double play ball gets bobbled?
Good to know I'm not the only idiot according to Nick. Actually, I'm sure there's a lot of us according to him. Now for real good night. I can't wait to see that Angels come back from 5 down headline tomorrow.
I guess Bruntlett isn't immune to the ground-ball-to-the-right syndrome. I've seen more of those in this game than I have all season... and I'm neither a huge Everett fan (I do value his defense), nor am I saying him being hurt isn't a huge blessing in disguise. I'm just saying what I'm seeing.
They need to change the pitcher on Chone Figgens... he's in a good rhythm today. Oh wait... they already did.
