Good points. Although, against NL teams, Everett would be bumping Luke out of the lineup, right? Loretta would be at 3rd, pushing Lamb to first and Lance to right.
Luke was bumping himself out of the lineup... first with the injury, then with a bit of slumping. Lamb also wasn't benefitting from increased playing time... and there were lineups against righties with Lamb still on the bench. Lamb getting hot means EVERYTHING right now... since the second game of the Oakland series, he's had an impact in every single game where we've reached double-figured hits. (Biggio having a prolonged hot streak helps as well... Loretta has continued to do what he's been doing all year).
This is a pretty big game for this bullpen... they really haven't been all that pressured since the Colorado-Oakland debacles, and despite a 5 run lead, this Anaheim team is VERY capable of coming back.
Pupura was so fat... he convinced him by mistake... surely he didn't do something positive, because he's fat. Qualls better not have visions of the 05 World Series here... and there's that damn Rally Monkey!
And put in who? Mohler? Miller? Borkowski? Wheeler with the 6+ ERA? Qualls needs to start pitching well... he's got way to much talent to be this inconsistent.
That's the same check-swing the ump rung up Lee on... just be consistent, even if its the wrong call.
Freakin rally monkey... combined with ground balls finding holes, DP balls finding holes, one hop hits that bounce over our first baseman... ugh.
