Agreed... but lets just temper expectations here. This isn't Lidge-Dotel-Wagner. It isn't even Qualls-Wheeler-Lidge.

Its Borkowski-Qualls (with 5+ ERA)-Wheeler (with 6+ERA)... with 87 year old Rick White waiting to get his shot.

Garner needs to go to the Dierker school of managing.....let your STARTERS work out of jams a bit.

They are starters and other than your closer are your best pitchers.

    He can't even throw a strike. F**K!

Why didn't they take him out? Terrible. Garner sucks.

This... after everybody flamed Garner two days ago for sticking with Sampson way too long.

BTW... what did the Dierker school of managing ever really accomplish, besides ruining some arms that may have had some better years left in them?

You pay bullpen pitchers for a reason... and starters are NOT the best pitchers on this team after the 6th inning (especially not Wandy Rodriguez).

6/19/07 - Qualls sucks... anybody is better.

6/20/07 - Borkowski sucks... anybody (but Qualls) is better.

    Wow I hate our bullpen.

3 straight walks by Dumbkowski. 2 of them with the bases loaded. Tie game. OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!    :(

Why leave him in when he has no control tonight?! Take him out. save him for another night. :(

What? Dierker didn't burn out any arms by over pitching anyone, and the starters ARE your best option unless they are melting down.

Wandy was NOT melting down tonight, let him try to work out of his own mess.

    Why? Because our bullpen SUX

And as I type this...they hit a THREE run bomb after our ineffective bullpen comes in....... CASE FRICKEN CLOSED !!

You want the Astros to contend....get a manager who can manage a questionable pitching staff.....

It simply amazes me how sometimes a professional Major League pitcher can't find the strike zone. Although ball 2 on that last walk was yet another strike that was missed.

Borkowski is making Qualls look like a Cy Young candidate, huh?

Way to turn a game into a smokefest, Garner.

Unbelievable. Just unbelievable. This is team just drives me nuts. Can anything ever just work out. I am trying to stay positive, but the way these guys blow games is uncanny.

Scott Elarton would beg to differ (as would Mike Hampton... who felt the effects a couple years later).

And, our bullpen does suck... its part of the reason why we're 10 games under .500. But, part of being a manager is preventing the damage BEFORE it actually happens.

The same complaints are here if Wandy gives up another couple of hits.... just like the complaints were there for leaving in Sampson too long, or leaving in Wandy too long in a start earlier this year.

If you want to blame Gar for leaving in Borkowski after the second walk, be my guest... although having Randolph face Vlad (or Qualls, or Moheler) isn't much better of a proposition.

I'm speechless. Just how much of a ****ING MORON is Garner right now?

Garner: Let me leave my pitcher who's walked 3 straight in, maybe he'll turn this around. YUCK YUCK!

Ok, yeah we need a new manager. How do you keep a guy in there after walking 3 guys in a row? Ridiculous managing.
