brown: that throw almost hit pence JD: what would pence do if it hit him (or something) brown: he'd be as depressed as morgan ensberg...(short pause then mutters) just kidding.
Angel Hernandez is the biggest douchebag ump in the league... you think he'd EVER go up to any other pitcher (besides a smallish Wandy) and tell him to "shut the **** up" about the balls and strikes? This isn't even mentioning how he's completely missed about 3 BLATANT stirke 3 calls tonight.
ESPN is labeling him the rookie phenom (Pence)...Good support from ESPN thus far. That will only help his chances of course.
Okay... Hernandez seriously needs to go back to ump school. He's flat-out missing the inside corner of the plate. WTG Wandy for persevering through Hernandez' douchebaggedness.
No joke. Props to Wandy for keeping his composure despite Hernandez best efforts to hand the inning to the Angels.
Very well. About the only trouble came when a infield single later became a 2 run homer from a rookie that got his first career hit.
You might as well pencil in any opposing player who has 0 HR's, but is in the lineup against Houston, to go deep that night... this is like the 5th or 6th time its happened in the last month.
Perfect example right there of an almost SPECTACULAR play by Bruntlett, that many take for granted when it looks routine.
