Hopefully this gives Bruntlett a chance at SS.

Jeter or Tejada, obviously. Or Zobrist.

Screw that. I'm sure the Brewers wouldn't mind a straight up Orlando Palmeiro for JJ hardy trade...right? Maybe they want Trever Miller or Brian Moehler instead.

    ;)

Max, your story sounds like horseplay. I wouldn't call that being a bad friend. What Wheeler did...taking his anger out on Sampson...pushing Sampson...that's a bad friend. Sampson didn't provoke him. I'm glad I don't have friends who blow up - disagreements happen...it shouldn't get to that level. What happened in the dugout was messed up.

PS - This is a message board where fans discuss things, I didn't know I couldn't have an opinion.

How do you post slingbox feeds? I don't mind if someone watches Astros games off my box. How does it work?

    I didn't know there was a game today...5-5 sweet!

I'll miss his smooth play at short but what really sucks is that he was just starting to hit nicely. Crappy break (no pun intended).

He didn't say you couldn't have an opinion (and honestly that is SO whiny)--he said it doesn't matter what you think. And it doesn't. And while I shouldn't speak for Max, I'm sure would say it doesn't matter what HE thinks, either. Similarly, it doesn't matter what *I* think. We all have differing opinions on the matter, but the point is that what actually matters is Sampson's take on it, since he knows Wheeler and we don't, since he was there and we weren't, and since they are teammates and not us. In other words, "it doesn't matter what you think" was not a slight on your opinion at all. It doesn't matter what *any* of us think, except within the confines of these discussions.

    it was more than horseplay.

never said you couldn't have an opinion. i'm saying the only opinion about it that matters is sampson's.

The Astros should make a statement and release Moehler. It seems like he gives up a run every time out!

Pretty much. He's given up at least 1 run in 8 of his 13 outings this year. His ERA in May was a perfect 9.00. 11 innings pitched, 11 earned runs.

The Fibula is the non weight bearing bone in the leg, it is much easier to come back from an injury to that than the tibia.

I guess all the people who wanted to see what an offensive shortstop would bring to the table will get their wish.

    Get well soon Adam.......

I am absolutely disgusted. I am frustrated, I am ticked off, you name it.

I never thought the stros would be this bad. I really believed this year, I really did. I was convinced the offense was a lot better, and I didnt even figure Pence into the equation. I was convinced that the pitching would be better than last year, (which it has been one of the lone bright spots). I was convinced that the bullpen would be solid.

To top it all off I am 2-10 this year in the games that I have attented. This is the worst slump of my life in terms of games I have gone to.

Sad part is, I still will not give up

This year is resembling 2000 moreso than 2004 or 2005.
