AOC slams Cuomo’s decision to suspend New Yorkers’ mortgage payments https://nypost.com/2020/04/01/coronavirus-aoc-slams-cuomos-decision-to-suspend-mortgage-payments/
She is gonna have to learn how make friends and stop getting into fights with everybody. She has also proven to be somewhat Gaff prone. I am startingto think she is reading her own press clippings too much but we will see.
Yeah, it seems like America could say "enough of NYC folk for a while." Different politics from Trump but similar pugnacious spirit and (apparently) conviction that they are right about everything. I really want a president who can take criticism without barking back too. She does more homework than Trump (which is the lowest bar possible), but I think a pinch of humility and MOAR homework from her would be more impressive to me personally as a voter.
What the ****, here's an exercise in headline writing malpractice children: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took aim at Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s decision to suspend mortgage payments but not rental payments during the coronavirus outbreak, accusing him of giving “preferential treatment” to wealthier New Yorkers. “If you called for a suspension or moratorium on mortgage payments, then we should also call for that same treatment on rent payments,” But, it's the NY post, so of course. I think this is what bald old white guys call "burying the lede"
I think she’s poised to make it happen but if Biden wins it’ll be a tough case to be made to voters to go through a lengthy and nasty primary when it’s apparent that the next four years will be incredibly busy trying to resurrect a Democracy. I think most voters will prefer 2028 honestly even though she’s basically the air apparent for the progressive wing. Much of her viability to expand beyond the Bernie progressives will be how Kamala does as VP. If she is well respected and does well I don’t know if AOC could beat her in a primary. Much of AOC’s viability will rely on African American support and we’ll just have to wait and see what happens in the first 2 years of a Biden presidency if we are lucky enough to win this November. AOC better be careful though not giving the media everything they want in portraying a cat fight primary in 24 before Biden even takes over as president.
