The lowest point of JV's career, an 8-3 lead and he can't get through the 5th inning and it's not even because of the pitch count. This is painful to watch take place. We've got 2 World Series because of this man.
Should still show some respect. He has done so much for the org, hopefully he remains long term as a coach or something. Can't start him in the playoffs.
Not according to one poster. Espada is an idiot for not using King against the three best right handed batters for SD. I'm curious who the savant will call out next as our no name pitching saviour.....
I agree…. This is him just getting used to things again, and he’s still ultra-productive. Stars produce. They can produce throughout a 162 season presuming they’re healthy. Even Breggy is who he is after 162. While the young guys and role players have potentials to have good seasons here/there… we can still see how the grind or adjusting to adjustments can impact things.
He's done after this year, maybe a farewell tour with Detroit but his days as an effective starting pitcher are over.
All this JV talk, I'm just hoping Yordan can get back and this slump doesn't stick long term. He looks horrible right now.....
