I like it when stars do star things consistently. The role players have done as much as they possibly could have this year… will worry about 2026 in 2026.
Possibly since Kikuchi usually goes 5 to 6 innings. So Verlander 3, Kikuchi 5 to 6, then Hader unless they have a big lead. Would they consider JV and Blanco. Limit the innings on Blanco and since Blanco used to be a relief pitcher, he'll be used to coming in from the bullpen. Know idea how Kikuchi will respond.
fellas, if yall watching the game and saw that split screen.... THATS what I love about this org: see walks from every side of life / the world... and you gotta know this team is a family-- THAT is whats up. edit: it aint all about balls/strikes/Ks or OBP or other stats/numbers at the end of the day... its about heart and what you are doing for the community/city in which you represent. I trust these guys and for the first time in a long time, I trust the developmental coaches, the pitching coaches, GM DB, & Mr. Crane (even though I trust TK/Blummer/JM more than anyone else)... I would like to see Miller/Cintron & other pitching/hitting coaches get on the same page more consistently though
My point was Tuck having 2 XBH amongst his excellent reappearance (let's admit some of his hits are soft though) is a hell of a start. I'm hoping the power will come.
The problem with JV is he’s imploding way too much. And it’s not like he’s been really great the first three innings and then fades…he’s just been consistently bad. At this point, he needs to be the guy that comes in if Blanco or another starter begins to struggle early in a game. That’s about it.
Ha lucky as **** there. He’s so washed. If we lose this year because we give him a start the year after playing Maldy over Yainer, I’m going to start questioning this organization.
Offense gives JV 8 runs, but he can't pitch 5 innings to qualify for the win. Pathetic 280 wins might be a stretch at this point.
