Angels have actually held up better than expected without Trout and Ohtani to this point. Still they suck, so no reason we shouldn't at least win this series. Another sweep would be nice.
They actually have a nice young core with Neto, OHoppe, Adell, and Schanuel. They need to get a good return for Rengifo and Ward this deadline and negotiate a buyout with Rendon, then pray for Trout to be healthy. If their lineup shapes up that way then they can spend money on SP this offseason and be in position to actually compete. Their farm should start supplying them with a healthy enough supply of BoR guys and RP. Anderson, Sandoval, and Canning might all bring back prospect depth when they trade them. But they should be shooting for the #1 pick in next years draft.
If given the choice, would you... a) take a guaranteed 2-1 series victory or b) whatever happens happens . A sweep would be awesome and wouldn't be a surprise, but I'm taking A
Keep it going. Seattle is playing the yankees this week. Let's really get in their heads by being the hottest team in the AL next Monday when we play them. We want their fanbase to be thinking "here we go again..." This is the week we put the rest of the league on notice that we're not going away!
Tyler Anderson might be the Angel's ace at this point. Hunter Brown not so much. The Angels should be favored in this game.
No amount of time in the minors would show anything for Abreu. I hate that they’re keeping him, but if they insist on it, go ahead and bring him up, play him everyday for a month, then when he’s cost the Astros several more wins and shown his days of consistent triple digit exit velos are behind him, finally they will cut him loose. I just hope it’s not too late for the Astros to recover (again) and maybe make the playoffs.
Only one i've heard say he could be back is Dana Brown, and i'm pretty sure Jerry Crane hasn't told Brown what the actual plan is
I don't understand why this can't be the lineup moving forward: Altuve Pena Alvarez Tucker Bregman Diaz Meyers Loperfido (1B) McCormick
